A Skift survey reveals growing interest in regenerative tourism, which aims to enhance positive impacts on destinations, communities, and the environment. Despite this enthusiasm, the sector faces significant credibility issues, such as concerns about greenwashing and the lack of standardized metrics. Unlike sustainable tourism, which has clear standards, regenerative tourism's measures are fragmented and location-specific. The report highlights the need for practical and measurable actions to overcome these challenges and establish genuine regenerative practices. (The original piece available only in Portuguese)
