Interreg Europe has highlighted the DETOCS project, running from March 2023 to May 2027, aiming to create vast area energy communities in Italy for sustainable tourism. This initiative focused on reducing carbon footprints, enhancing energy efficiency and fostering community engagement. Key results included the establishment of several energy communities, significant reductions in CO2 emissions and increased awareness of sustainable practices.
