INCIEN key initiatives include the Green Circular Academy, which educates professionals across sectors on circular principles, and the “Places Gone” project, mapping waste management sites to raise public awareness about waste flows. INCIEN also collaborates on developing methodologies for circular public procurement, aiming to integrate sustainability into purchasing decisions.
A standout project is “Zálohujme.cz”, a nationwide campaign that successfully built cross-sectoral support for the introduction of a deposit-return system for beverage containers. By engaging citizens, businesses, and policymakers, the campaign contributed to a legislative shift aimed at drastically reducing plastic waste and improving recycling rates.
INCIEN also runs the Green Circular Academy, which equips professionals from diverse sectors with knowledge and tools to implement circular solutions. Through these initiatives and active collaboration on circular public procurement and waste policy reform, INCIEN is helping embed circularity into mainstream governance and business practices in the Czech Republic.
