Game of TraCEs, an online platform initiated by Materahub, was launched in 2019 as part of the TraCEs project under the COSME program. It aims to promote innovative tourism experiences developed through collaborations between tourism operators and Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) in European Capitals of Culture (ECoCs). By mapping these experiences, Game of TraCEs offers tourists an opportunity to explore ECoCs from new perspectives, showcasing the local creative and cultural scene. Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative has been recognized as a good practice by Interreg Europe ECOC SME project and the European Commission in the Funding Guide for Culture, underscoring its significance in enhancing cultural tourism across Europe.
