The Widen European Access to Cultural Communities via Europeana (WEAVE) project, co-financed by the EU and Europeana, aimed to highlight the rich tangible and intangible heritage of previously overlooked cultural communities by creating a framework to showcase their connections and accessibility through Europeana. Operating from April 2021 to August 2022, WEAVE sought to preserve the European identity and cultural diversity by bringing peripheral cultural heritage to the forefront. By demonstrating the toolkit's utility through use cases, the project intended to enhance engagement, promote hidden collections, and foster innovation in education and tourism, thus ensuring the legacy of Europe's cultural plurality for future generations.
