In May 2024, Latvia’s hotel bedroom occupancy stood at 43.1%, with bed place occupancy at 39.8%. This reflects a decrease from May 2019’s figures, which were 54.3% and 48.8% for bedrooms and bed places, respectively. Typically, the peak occupancy occurs in the summer months, particularly July and August. For instance, in July 2023, the occupancy rate for hotel bedrooms was 59.8%, and in August 2023, it was 57.6%. Comprehensive data on these trends, ranging from 1997 to 2024, is available through the National Statistical System of Latvia.
