Four cases of sustainable tourism best practices at destinations were highlighted recently (January 2024). These cases involve projects by Garden Hotels, Ihobe, Ideas for Change, and the Re Art restaurant. The CEO of Garden Hotels, Gabriel Llobera, emphasized the importance of small companies in leading sustainable initiatives, while Xabier González from Ihobe showcased a tool for organizing sustainable events. Francisco Rodríguez from Ideas for Change discussed inclusive experiences to combat depopulation. These initiatives, presented during the Turespaña Convention in San Sebastián, underscore the ongoing efforts to promote sustainability in tourism destinations and engage various stakeholders in environmental conservation and community development.
