According to statistics, Spain’s rural tourism sector welcomed over 1 million visitors in the first four months of 2024, experiencing a slight decrease of less than 2.9% compared to the same timeframe in 2023.

The most recent figures from Dataestur and NSI indicate that in the initial four months of 2024, Spain’s rural tourism accommodations welcomed over 1 million visitors. This represents a slight decrease of less than 2.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2023. In total, these tourists accounted for 2.6 million overnight stays, averaging 2.4 nights per visit. Over the last decade, the leading regions for rural tourism have consistently been Castile and León, Catalonia, and Andalusia.
