According to statistics, there were approximately 667,597 companies associated with tourism in Spain in 2023, accounting for 20.0% of all active Spanish companies, with a slight increase of 0.4% since 2019 but a decrease of 3.7% from 2022.

This accounted for 20.0% of all active Spanish companies. Among these, the majority were engaged in real estate activities, the culture industry, and sports, recreational, and entertainment activities (46.9% of companies in the tourism industry). When compared to the year 2019, there was a slight increase of 0.4% in the number of tourism-related companies, but a decrease of 3.7% from the previous year, 2022.
