According to Dataestur, during the first five months of 2024, air quality in most destinations across Spain was classified as reasonably good. Galicia stood out with a larger percentage of territory having good air quality, allowing for normal outdoor activities. In the community of Madrid and Andalucía—two of Spain’s most visited regions—the air quality was also favorable. Approximately 25-27% of the air was classified as good, while 60-63% fell into the reasonably good category. The share of air considered unfavorable was minimal, at only 0.76% in Madrid and 1.49% in Andalucía.
