European Investment Fund is a specialist provider of risk finance to benefit small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) across Europe as a part of the EIB Group. It is a key instrument of EU economic policy, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation across the continent. EIF shareholders are the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and a wide range of public and private banks and financial institutions. The EIF also hosts the EIC Summit and offers services like access to coaches, mentors, and a global innovation ecosystem. The platform also features success stories and projects funded by the EIF.
