Clariant’s Portfolio Value Program (PVP) https://www.clariant.com/en/Sustainability/Environmental/PortfolioManagement - is a comprehensive and systematic Portfolio Assessment Program to screen and evaluate the sustainability and safety of our product portfolio globally. It helps ensuring that products meet evolving environmental, safety, and socio-economic criteria. Clariant’s PVP provides the basis on which we substantiate our sustainability performance and continuously drive product portfolio improvements. The Program allows us to identify and measure the sustainability performance of products across a wide range of holistic 39 criteria. Clariant uses the PVP methodology to evaluate, classify, and market products in terms of performance and sustainability. PVP is aligned with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Chemical Industry Methodology for Portfolio Sustainability Assessments (PSA). Clariant’s Dynamic PVP project takes this a step further by incorporating real-time data and scenario simulations. The proof of concept of the tool’s functionality has been conducted in 2024 and the governance has been implemented. In 2025 over 10 additional revised PVP criteria for Dynamic PVP applicability, involving database creation with corresponding expert areas and consistency checks against the current PVP structure will be performed and are expected to be rolled out subsequently.
