The Santagata SGA Foundation, in collaboration with Studio Giaccardi & Associati for ENIT (National Tourism Agency), conducted research to establish a model for measuring the impact of climate emergencies on tourism. The project, carried out from October 30 to November 30, 2023, aims to guide regions, businesses, tourist destinations, and educational entities toward climate-resilient practices. It defines climate-sensitive tourism as an evolved sustainable economy, emphasizing the sector’s sensitivity to climate change and the responsibilities of tourism entities in adapting to meet the evolving preferences of climate-sensitive travelers.
