The Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation, an initiative led by the European Commission and launched on June 24, 2022, is a key policy-driven effort to advance the development and commercial deployment of hydrogen and electric aircraft. Hosted at EUROCONTROL headquarters, this initiative brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including aircraft manufacturers, airlines, energy companies, and environmental groups, to collaboratively shape regulatory frameworks and address the challenges and opportunities of zero-emission aviation. The Alliance is instrumental in developing policy measures that support the aviation industry's green transition, significantly reducing the environmental impact of air travel while aligning with the EU's climate goals.

The formation of the alliance is essential for the implementation of new policies.
