Nikolina Brnjac, Croatia’s Minister for Tourism, has made sustainability a priority in rebuilding the country’s tourism industry. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, she aims to position Croatia as a touchstone for sustainable travel. Croatia recently adopted its first-ever Tourism Law, emphasizing regional development, adaptability, and a balance between economic, environmental, and social pillars of sustainability. The law provides tools for local communities to enhance quality of life while mitigating tourism’s impact on the environment. Additionally, Croatia is set to welcome Europe’s first Centre for Sustainable Tourism
