BeyondSnow endeavors to bolster the socio-ecological climate resilience of small to medium-altitude snow tourism destinations and communities in the Alpine Space region, which are grappling with the ramifications of diminishing snow coverage due to climate change. With climatic data indicating an exacerbation of this issue in the future, the project, financed by Interreg Alpine Space and spanning from November 2022 to October 2025, seeks to preserve the appeal of these destinations for residents and tourists alike through ecosystem-based approaches. The partnership aims to address the socioeconomic impacts of climate change on snow tourism destinations by engaging citizens and decision-makers through training and awareness-raising activities at various levels of governance.
