The DarkSky4CE project, taking place from June, 2024, to January, 2027, aims to reduce light pollution in Central Europe by promoting dark sky-friendly practices and technologies. It focuses on raising awareness about the negative impacts of light pollution on health, wildlife, and the environment, implementing responsible lighting solutions like shielded fixtures and lower intensity lighting, and fostering cross-border cooperation to develop unified strategies for preserving dark skies. Expected outcomes are improved nightscapes, increased policy adoption, and greater community engagement.
