Global Industrie, France's largest industrial trade fair, presented its 2026 GI Awards on 1 April 2026, selecting six winners from 21 shortlisted innovations across four categories plus two special prizes. Several of the winning solutions are aimed squarely at making robotics and digital manufacturing tools accessible to companies that could not previously afford or integrate them.

In the Digital Innovation category, Forx won for an autonomous mobile robot that uses AI to detect pallets without requiring dedicated infrastructure, offered on a rental basis specifically to make logistics automation accessible to smaller manufacturers rather than only large plants that can afford outright purchase. The Jury's Choice prize went to Fuzzy Logic Robotics for WeldMate, a plug-and-weld, no-code robotic welding cell controlled from a tablet, combining 3D vision and AI so a robot can learn a weld seam and start welding without a system integrator, cutting the time and specialist expertise normally needed to deploy robotic welding. The Young Company special prize went to Misutech for MISULAB, described as the first digital twin specifically for machining, designed to predict machining defects before they occur, increase productivity and guarantee the reliability of safety-critical mechanical components for strategic industries. In the Industrial Performance and Efficiency category, Labadis won for a compact lifter that reduces physical strain when handling heavy parts in a minimal footprint, while the Responsible Industry category went to Safehear for a communication headset using patented audio filtering to let operators communicate clearly in noisy industrial environments, and the Technological Transformation prize went to Seabery for an augmented-reality spray-painting simulator that trains operators while reducing the cost and risk associated with hands-on learning.
