Beyond project grants, VLAIO runs the KMO-portefeuille (SME Wallet), a lighter-touch subsidy specifically for Flemish SMEs buying external training or advice - useful for a smaller manufacturer that wants expert help assessing a robotics or automation investment but is not yet ready for a full R&D project application.
