The Academy is a four-year programme of training courses and workshops, complementing facility access for SMEs, start-ups and academic researchers alongside large industrial users. For component and machinery manufacturers whose products depend on power-efficient chips - increasingly the case as edge computing and IoT sensing spread through industrial equipment - this is a concrete, accessible route to build in-house or partner expertise in a specific, EU-prioritised chip design discipline, rather than relying entirely on external suppliers' design capacity.
