The ‘Guidelines for submitting pledges’ aim at encouraging stakeholders in the proximity and social economy ecosystem to commit to the green and digital transitions. This comprehensive guide outlines the steps for submitting pledges, which are voluntary commitments by public and private actors to support the objectives of the Transition Pathway for the Proximity and Social Economy.
By pledging, stakeholders can inspire and be inspired by the broader European community, drive progress through collective action, and create synergies with other stakeholders. The guidelines provide a clear framework for developing and structuring pledges, ensuring they are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). This approach helps stakeholders outline their commitments effectively and align them with the broader objectives of the Transition Pathway.
The European Commission continuously evaluates the pledges received, highlighting success stories and best practices in a comprehensive report. This is an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to showcase their efforts and contribute to the future of the Proximity and Social Economy ecosystem. By submitting a pledge, you can help build evidence on commitments and concrete actions, connect with others working on similar topics, and influence policy and private sector priorities.
Check out the full guidelines, get inspired by pledges published by other stakeholders, and join the movement by submitting your pledge by 1 June 2025.
