Dear User,

We are enormously pleased to see you register on the platform. We hope your time on the platform will be informative, full of new connections and ultimately will bring the transition of your business to the next level.

What is this platform?

The platform integrates and summarises the available reliable and relevant information that you need to perform in the tourism ecosystem well and successfully carry out or support the transition according to the principles of the Transition Pathway for Tourism.

The Transition Pathway for Tourism is the EU Industrial Strategy. Tourism, as the most heavily hit ecosystem by the COVID-19- crisis, is the first to have its transition pathway. The actions of this pathway will form the key elements of the upcoming European tourism agenda 2030/2050.

The Transition Pathway for Tourism highlights the need to accelerate the green and digital transition of the tourism ecosystem in the EU. The strategy entails cooperation of the industry, public authorities, social partners, and other stakeholders. The platform is a one-stop-shop for all information needed for the successful transition, as well as a networking and collaboration space.

The platform provides content that is relevant to the topics defined by the Transition pathway for tourism and addresses different needs of multiple actors of the ecosystem through personalisation. Additionally, the platform is an actionable tool for its community of users – it is a mutually beneficial arrangement, where the content of the platform supports the community, and the community is encouraged to contribute to the content of the platform.

What can you find here?

The heart of the Transition Pathway for Tourism are commitments and best practices. These are two practical tools that can give a concrete example and serve as a peer-to-peer support. Public and private tourism stakeholders are invited to share their concrete actions and targets to contribute to the green and digital transition of the tourism ecosystem and increase the ecosystem's resilience.

Check the pledges section to see other actor’s commitments and think about what your organisation can pledge. Additionally, in the best practices section you will find practical examples of already implemented commitments. The actors share their methods of achieving the committed targets. In this section you will get to know how you can reach your goal.

Apart from pledges and best practices, there is a news section, where you can find the latest information. Next to it, you can also reach for articles – longer opinion pieces originally published on our platform. Do you want your voice to be heard? This is a place for you to share your thoughts through writing an article! Prepare your piece, and our editorial team will help you publish it.

There is a section dedicated to policy framework, where you can browse through policy and legislation on the EU, state and regional level. If you want to improve your skills, check the “Knowledge and learning" section. You will find there online courses, webinars, but also reports, handbooks and guidelines. There is also the “Community” section serving as an access point to all existing platforms and communities relevant for the Transition pathway for tourism.

In the Calendar you will find a plainly structured overview of upcoming fund calls, online events, our monthly webinars, community events but also trade fairs, industrial conferences – thanks to this functionality you will never miss the important date!

Are you looking for business opportunities? Check the “Getting support” section, where you can get informed about tenders and other funding opportunities. The section covers the entire EU, so you will always find something for you.

The platform provides opportunities for online collaboration, through collaborative spaces, forums, discussion threads, and getting to know projects and people in the industry. In this article we guide users how to explore these possibilities.

Now, you have got the overview. Check this article to know more about the most effective ways of using the platform.
