The Interreg Europe programme recognised the efforts of Disfrimua, a private, Spanish, family-owned company dedicated to transport and logistics, in decarbonising its transport fleet in Spain to serve cities and regions. In close collaboration with energy producer Iberdrola, S.A. and the international technological group Ingeteam, S.A., the company implemented two initiatives. The first initiative, called "Invisible Transport," focuses on modernising, digitalising, and making the company's fleet more sustainable to align with the European climate neutrality 2050 goal. The second initiative, called the "100% Electric Mediterranean Corridor," aims at electrifying heavy transport. As a result, the company has reduced emissions by more than 35% since 2016.
