The In-Tour project, an Erasmus+ initiative (2020–2023), aimed to bridge the gap in accessible tourism by developing specialised training for Inclusive Tourism Managers and Frontline Staff. Through pilot courses in Italy, Germany, and Greece, the project validated flexible, modular curricula to enhance accessibility expertise across the European tourism sector.

The In-Tour project, an Erasmus+ initiative running from 2020 to 2023, brought together universities, VET providers, and industry experts from six European countries to enhance accessibility in tourism. By developing specialised curricula for Inclusive Tourism Managers and Frontline Staff, the project addressed the gap between the high demand (37% of travellers) and the limited availability (9.2%) of accessible services. Pilot courses were conducted in Italy, Germany, and Greece, combining asynchronous and synchronous learning to provide ECTS credits and professional certification. This initiative aimed to contribute to a more inclusive tourism industry in Europe by preparing professionals to address diverse accessibility requirements.
