The Ardenne Cyclo project aims to capitalize on the booming bike tourism market in Europe by developing two new cycling routes within the picturesque Ardennes cross-border region. This initiative connects isolated sections of existing paths and enhances safety by reducing hazardous passages, creating a seamless cycling experience. The project promotes the area’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, offering tourists a unique opportunity to explore the Ardennes through cycling. The first route is a 170 km loop that links La Meuse by bicycle and the Voie Verte Trans-Ardennes, guiding cyclists through stunning landscapes and notable tourist attractions, including charming villages and natural caves. The second route spans 110 km, connecting the EuroVelo 5 (EV5) to La Meuse, showcasing diverse terrains and significant heritage sites along the way.
