The Blue Tourism initiative, co-funded by the European Union, was launched to establish a network of local advisors aimed at guiding small tourism providers in watercourse regions towards sustainability. Its objectives include creating a new competence profile for the tourism sector, promoting lesser-known watercourse tourist destinations, and contributing to local sustainable tourism development. The project’s key outcomes are the BLUE TOURISM e-portfolio, which includes a collection of sustainable case studies and best practices, and the BLUE TOURISM Digital Space, which offers a set of learning outcomes.
