The case study, published by the Travel Foundation in 2018, focuses on involving communities in tourism development in Croatia. The initiative aimed to enhance local engagement and ensure that tourism benefits are shared more equitably among residents. In result, community participation in tourism planning increased and collaboration between local stakeholders and tourism operators improved. It aims to share insights with other destination on fostering sustainable tourism practices that prioritize local community involvement and benefits.
