On December 16, 2022, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports adopted Croatia’s sustainable tourism development strategy for 2030. This strategy, developed in collaboration with stakeholders including local communities and citizens, aims to make sustainable tourism a central objective for the entire sector. It outlines a vision for the sustainable development of tourism in Croatia, identifying development needs and potentials, and specifying priority areas to achieve strategic goals. These goals are defined based on the perspectives of key stakeholders and global trends. The strategy aligns with Croatia’s National Development Strategy and EU policies, focusing on the well-being of local communities, the preservation of cultural and natural heritage, and addressing climate change impacts. For more details, the strategy document can be explored via the attached link. (The original piece available only in Croatian)
