The DIGITOUR initiative, operational from November 2021 to January 2024, sought to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of tourism SMEs in Europe in response to evolving industry challenges. The project concentrated on improving digital skills and knowledge among SMEs through tailored training and advisory support, promoting innovative practices via digital solutions, and encouraging cross-sectoral and cross-border collaborations within the tourism ecosystem. Aiming to assist at least 100 SMEs with digital training vouchers and to finance 19 collaborative projects involving 38 SMEs, DIGITOUR highlighted the critical role of digitalization in adapting to the changing dynamics of tourism and ensuring long-term business sustainability.
