The SoPHIA project (Social Platform for Holistic Impact Heritage Assessment) was designed to evaluate the effects of interventions in Europe’s cultural heritage and historical environments, fostering reflection within the cultural and political sectors. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, the project spanned 24 months (January 2020 – December 2021). The SoPHIA project aimed to establish a diverse social platform to develop impact assessment models and quality standards. Key outputs of the project include research reports, workshops and conferences, a toolkit for stakeholders, and policy recommendations.
