The INSITES project, led by Banbridge District Enterprises and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, aimed to enhance digital and immersive tourism experiences related to cultural heritage. Running from January 2021 to December 2022, the project aimed to equip stakeholders with digital and immersive tourism skills, offering guidance and practical knowledge to future-proof the cultural heritage sector and make these assets more appealing to the younger generation, who are the future consumers and custodians of Europe's cultural heritage. Key outcomes included a multilingual training pack, case studies, best practices, and a digital technology toolkit.
