The EU-funded IMPACTOUR project, operational from January 2020 to June 2023, facilitated collaboration between stakeholders and researchers across various European regions. Its objective was to develop innovative methodologies for assessing the impact of cultural tourism on regional economic growth, utilizing data analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques. Supported by the European Commission’s EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, the project united twelve partners from nine EU Member States to enhance cultural tourism policies and initiatives in Europe.
