Sexual harassment remains a significant challenge at workplaces across Europe and beyond. Despite existing legal frameworks and policies, cases of sexual harassment persist. Moreover, employees tend to hesitate to report incidents due to fear of retaliation, lack of knowledge, or inadequate support systems. Traditional training methods are often ineffective, failing to engage learners or provide practical application. To address this issue, the Teamwork2 developed an engaging and accessible online training course full of practical tools and examples to foster safe and inclusive working environments.

About Teamwork2

The TEAMWORK 2 project is a direct continuation of the REC-funded TEAMWORK 1 project (ending in April 2022), whose research activities resulted in a better understanding of the issue of sexual harassment at the workplace, drafting recommendations contributing to its more effective addressing at the local and national level.

It has the following objectives:

  1. Enhance prevention and handling of sexual harassment at the workplace through capacity building of multipliers to prepare them to assist companies and organizations to adopt effective internal policies.
  2. Improve the protection of victims/survivors and empower them to report incidents through the creation of new and widely accessible services.
  3. Strengthen interagency collaboration and develop local/regional/ national networks that contribute to prevention and reduction of the problem.

The eLearning Platform
One of the project’s most valuable outcomes is the development of an interactive and comprehensive e-learning course. The course is designed to:

  • Define sexual harassment and its different forms
  • Educate participants on their rights and responsibilities with a specific attention to different national contexts
  • Provide practical strategies for preventing and addressing harassment cases
  • Offer best practices and practical simulations to better understand the problem and our role in tackling it
  • Encourage a culture of respect and inclusivity within organizations

The course is accessible online, making it flexible for employees and employers to complete at their convenience. It is available in multiple languages, including English, Catalan, Italian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Greek and French. Apart from a theoretical section, the course covers real-life scenarios, case studies, and quizzes to reinforce learning, making it a valuable resource during the onboarding process or additional training. It is suitable for all employees, including management, HR professionals, or employees working with external partners and third parties.
