SHARE, supported by Interreg Europe, addressed the significance of cultural heritage assets in European identity and social inclusion from January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2020. Focusing on urban settings, the project aimed to exchange experiences in cultural heritage policies to develop a sustainable and smart approach to its management and use. By reviewing existing policy tools and conducting specific research, SHARE sought to improve smart cities projects by incorporating a sustainable agenda for cultural assets. Through interregional exchange, the project produced Action Plans to transfer its outputs into mainstream policies, emphasizing the importance of cultural heritage in social, economic, and innovative growth strategies across Europe.
