The Thematic Trail Trigger (ThreeT) project, funded by the Interreg Europe programme, ran from June 1, 2018, to November 30, 2022. Its goal was to enhance the effectiveness of eight policy instruments aimed at protecting and promoting natural and cultural heritage. The initiative focused on making these trails accessible via green transportation and providing easily accessible information to boost eco-tourism. Key outcomes included the development of a toolkit, policy improvements, and the creation of sustainable tourism infrastructure, all contributing to better governance of tourism destinations and products, fostering a more sustainable and appealing tourism environment.
