The Interreg Europe programme has recognised the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) in Ungheni, Moldova, as a good practice. They provided an overview, details on the resources needed for implementation, evidence of success, and the potential for learning or transfer. Launched in 2023 under the "Sustainable Actions for Economic Growth through Tourism" project, the TIC centralises tourism services to meet the rising demand for real-time, accessible information for travellers. Operating 24/7, it provides up-to-date travel information, digital maps, and details on local attractions and events. According to data from Ungheni TIC, the number of local and international visitors has increased due to the enhanced availability of tourism data.
