The VINCI project, titled “Virtual & Augmented Reality Trainers Toolbox to Foster Low Carbon Tourism & Related Entrepreneurship”, is an EU co-funded initiative aimed at supporting the transition towards low-carbon tourism and entrepreneurship across EU Member States. Its primary objective is to provide tourism professionals with vocational education tools tailored to sustainable practices.

Coordinated by Macdac Engineering Consultancy Bureau LTD in Malta, the project brought together a consortium of seven partners from six EU countries. Over its 24-month implementation period—from 1 February 2022 to January 2024—and with a total budget of EUR 216,361.00, VINCI successfully developed:

  • A modular curriculum
  • AR/VR-based case studies
  • A Moodle-powered digital toolbox
  • A comprehensive trainers’ guide

These resources were designed to empower VET trainers working with tourism stakeholders, enabling them to train staff from tourism-related organisations using flexible, learner-centred approaches.

All project outcomes are publicly accessible via the attached link, offering valuable tools for anyone interested in promoting low-carbon tourism and sustainable entrepreneurship.
