Signed on 11 February 2026 and in force since 22 March 2026, the regulation ties the detergents sector into the EU's wider Digital Product Passport agenda, though full application of the DPP obligation only begins on 23 September 2029. For the chemicals ecosystem, it signals the likely direction of travel for product-level digital transparency requirements in other chemical product categories.
