Six projects from the reserve list of the Innovation Fund 2023 General Call for Net-Zero Technologies (IF23 Call) have now signed their Grant Agreements. This brings the total number of projects supported under this call to 83 notably including the first Innovation Fund project to be located in Luxembourg. Collectively, these six newly signed projects will receive nearly EUR 319 million in grants, financed through the EU Emissions Trading System.

Together, the projects are expected to cut 24.1 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent over their first ten years of operation. They will deploy cutting-edge decarbonisation technologies across key sectors, including hydrogen, hydro/ocean energy, energy storage (other), and refineries and chemicals. In line with the objectives of the Net-Zero Industry Act and the Clean Industrial Deal, these projects will help accelerate Europe’s transition to a net-zero economy while reinforcing the EU’s competitiveness and leadership in clean technology.

Discover all the projects that have signed their Grant Agreements under the IF23 Call.
