The EC has launched a Call for Evidence on this Communication, inviting industry and business stakeholders to share practical input on how EU law-making can be improved. The consultation focuses on three key issues:

1) how to better reconcile evidence-based policymaking with the need for urgent action;
2) how to ensure a more holistic and efficient approach to stakeholder consultations, including across policy fields;
3) what practical steps could make EU legislation simpler and easier to implement in practice (‘Simplicity by design’).

The initiative supports EC priorities on competitiveness, regulatory simplification and effective implementation in the Single Market.
It is open until 4th February 2026. For more information and to submit feedback, please use this link here.
