On 7 November 2025, stakeholders from across Europe joined an online webinar presenting the Action Plan for the Chemicals Industry, a roadmap to boost the sector’s competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience.

During the 45-minute session, participants were introduced to the main pillars of the Action Plan, including measures to strengthen industrial resilience, secure affordable energy and support decarbonisation, create lead markets for sustainable products, and simplify the regulatory framework for businesses. The presentation also highlighted initiatives such as the Critical Chemicals Alliance, the Industrial Decarbonisation Accelerator Act, and targeted reforms of REACH and ECHA.

The webinar concluded with an overview of the Transition Pathways for Chemicals Stakeholder Platform, which provides resources, updates, and opportunities for engagement to support the implementation of the Action Plan.
