The report reviews five years of implementation of the EU's core chemicals legislation, highlighting improvements in the quality of registration dossiers, compliance checks and hazard classification. It also flags remaining challenges, including the volume of substances still awaiting full evaluation. For the EU chemicals ecosystem, the report offers a comprehensive, evidence-based overview of where REACH and CLP stand roughly two decades after REACH's entry into force.
