Italy has introduced guidelines for utilising satellite interferometric data in structural monitoring. Developed by the National Civil Protection Department, ReLUIS, and CNR-IREA, the document aims to standardise the interpretation of structural behaviour using interferometric SAR technology. The guidelines help engineers and professionals integrate satellite data into risk assessment, improving safety and efficiency. The document is currently under public consultation to refine recommendations; it is available via this link.
