It is becoming increasingly obvious that while technological and digital progress are essential for the built environment’s energy transition, the occupants’ well-being as well as long-term circular planning need to take on a greater role both in academic and applied projects for maximum impact and sustainability. As a catalyst for interdisciplinary exchange, the international scientific conference CISBAT 2025 will link these areas and encourage lively, forward-looking debates.

Over 3 days, the conference will feature high-level keynotes, thematic sessions, workshops, and technical visits. The core of the conference will take place on the EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) campus in Lausanne over days 1 & 2. On day 3, topical visits both in Lausanne and in Fribourg will take place. An evening event will allow networking among participants who attend in person. To allow active remote attendance and networking, a hybrid professional platform will be employed in the conference.
