The Innovation Fund Call 2025 has been launched by the European Commission, with a total budget of €5.2 billion supporting projects that contribute to Europe’s climate and industrial transition. The call is structured around three main funding strands.
A €2.9 billion Net-Zero Technologies call supports projects of different sizes in areas such as renewable energy, energy storage, carbon capture and storage, and clean-tech manufacturing for hydrogen and renewable energy technologies, including pilot projects. In addition, a €1.3 billion auction under the European Hydrogen Bank targets renewable hydrogen production, while a €1 billion auction under the Industrial Decarbonisation Bank focuses on reducing emissions from industrial process heat.
Applications can be submitted via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal until 23 April 2026 at 17:00 CET. The Innovation Fund portfolio and the 2025 Knowledge Sharing Report also offer relevant insights, including on construction-related materials and technologies.
