ISSO has been involved in the BUILD UP Skills initiative since its start in 2011. This by on the one hand working on analysis of the national status quo and crafting and implementing national upskilling roadmap actions; and on the other hand, by collaborating with other EU-member states in dedicated upskilling projects related to construction skills.
 
Such as:
 
- BUS-GoCircular: a H2020 project dedicated to develop and implement a circular construction skills qualification framework
- ARISE: a H2020 project aimed at developing a skills framework that scaffolds the uptake of digitization and BIM in the construction valuechain
- BUS-NL: a LIFE project at national level aimed at updating analysis of the status quo and getting endorsed roadmap actions for 2024-2030.
Furthermore as knowledge institute for installation and construction technologies ISSO works on getting better working digital knowledge ecosystems and better indoor quality.
