The Czech Republic has pledged to contribute to the European goal of becoming a carbon-neutral continent by 2050.
 
In January 2024, the Zero Carbon Roadmap document was created in the Czech Republic with the aim of contributing to the achievement of a carbon-neutral built environment in the Czech Republic. It contains specific steps and a plan of measures necessary to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions in buildings.
