EAPA created in 2020 a specific committee on the digitisation of the asphalt paving sector, the so-called “Asphalt 4.0”. The main goals of this committee are:

1. Identification of relevant technologies, initiatives, projects, etc. being developed in the world related to the concept of Asphalt 4.0.
2. Share knowledge among EAPA Members.
3. Create external awareness among related stakeholders, Public Administrations and general society about the benefits, challenges, barriers for implementation, EAPA position, roadmap, etc. of Asphalt 4.0 technologies.

Among other related activities, EAPA supports every year the organisation of the International Conference on Asphalt 4.0.
