EAPA Secretariat actively participates in CEN Technical Committees relevant for the asphalt paving sector and during the meetings, the perspective of the European asphalt paving industry is given. These committees include CEN TC227 “Road Materials” and CEN TC336 “Bitumens and Bituminous Binders” among others. EAPA Technical Director is currently the elected Convenor of CEN TC227 WG1 where the content of the future Standardisation Request, the revision  of Harmonised Product Standards and Test Method Standards for “Bituminous Mixtures” are being undertaken.
EAPA Technical Director is also deeply involved in CEN TC227 WG6 “Road materials - Sustainability” where the Product Category Rules (PCR) for the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) of bituminous mixtures are being developed.
