The most recent figures from Visit Denmark reveal that Denmark experienced a total of 6.2 million overnight stays in May 2024, marking a 4.5% increase compared to the same month in the previous year1. The distribution of overnight stays between domestic and international visitors is fairly balanced, with international guests slightly outnumbering the local ones. Notably, German tourists represent the majority of international overnight stays, contributing to 62.4% of the total nights spent by foreign visitors in Denmark.
